MHP receives high praise from HCA in annual quality assessment
Following its annual quality assessment of developments completed in the last 12 months, the HCA has praised MHP for the high quality of its schemes.
According to the HCA, compared to the general quality of housing delivered by London housing associations, the schemes assessed were all at the upper-end of the quality spectrum. Crossharbour and Strongbridge were both rated particularly highly in terms of the thought that had gone into their design and configuration and then final construction quality.

Kickstart funding gold standard for MHP
A review of Round 2 Kickstart funded schemes, published by the Homes and Communities Agency, has revealed that MHP was rated as one of the best performers. Of 52 schemes assessed by CABE (Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment) only eight were awarded the Gold Standard - and two of those were MHP developments at Hertford Road and Clapham Park. What's more, of those eight top rated schemes the only ones which were housing association-led developments were ours - the others being developer-led.
Over a quarter of the schemes assessed were given a 'poor' rating (9.5 out of 20 or lower), compared to 17 out of 20 for our schemes in Hackney and Lambeth. The average score was 12 out of 20 and our third Kickstart funded development in West Hendon was rated 12.5.
The Kickstart programme was set up to bolster the development of over 20,000 homes on almost 300 sites which had stalled during the credit crunch due to the downturn suffered by the housebuilding industry.
